According to a new study, making new resolutions are bad for you. Resolutions such as the need to lose weight create a negative self-image. If you fail to keep your list, you develop a feeling of inadequacy. Focusing on problems or insecurities can leave you feeling hopeless and even depressed. In the year 2010, instead of making new year’s resolutions, think positively of the year to come and what you can achieve. Instead of easily broken new year’s resolution list, make steps to improve your mental health this 2010- Be active, go green, learn something new and give back to the community.
Making new year’s resolutions has already become a part of us. So for those of you (like me) who are used to making a list, let’s keep it simple, practical and actionable.
