I’m still disappointed at people who think my nude painting session was immoral. It’s sad that some people here in our country don’t appreciate the human body. Of course, nude painting is not for everyone. But I am comfortable with my body. I believe that my body is a gift. I wanted to donate/share this gift for artists to study and immortalize in numerous works of art- in this case, I chose nude painting/sketching. I’ve made this video for all the prudes out there. I hope they come out of the Dark Ages.

The body is something beautiful that God created. Only when it is used in a wrong way is it bad. Many lose their conception of good and bad when it comes to the natural beauty of a nude body. I say that it is comparable to a work of art. But beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. If one looks at it in a wrong way, it is a direct reflection on them. I say, it is “good on you” for showing off your body which is in my opinion a work of art. Don’t let the negatives get you down.

There is absolutely nothing immoral about you posing nude for artists to raise money for your mother. In fact what you have done especially with the tastefully done video is become IMMORTAL! it’s so relaxing to paint and draw nude human body. at first, it’s exciting. but as i draw more and more of the details and the fluidity of the curves, i began to admire the model even more and wonder to my self how great must have God felt when he first “modeled” us. (an artist’s prespective)

What a great idea! You brought awareness to breast cancer and you tackled the naive thought of nudity as disgusting. People might look at the pictures and think that those are dirty old men. Those men have spent their life time studying their craft.
When people hear that I mostly do nudes here in Hawaii they frown upon it, because they are naive about good art and the art world. I applaud you for your progressive thinking and wish others wouldn’t be so negative about nudity. If your ever in Hawaii I would love to do a painting of you.
My mother survived breast cancer for seven years and she was my biggest supporter of pursuing art as a career. Best of luck to your mom, she’s lucky to have a daughter like you who cares.

definitly, nude art is not for everyone. nude paintings/ drawings are completely “not immoral”. it’s art -not porn. you said that it’s sad that some people in our country doesnt appreciate this kind of art. but people like gimo smeares it’s reputation. there is a thin line between nude art and porn. i guess it’s up to the people’s morality and intelligence to how they would perceive it.
